This path is designed for students who want more than just the basics.

It gives them extra time to build confidence, strengthen their ear,

and progress further into gospel piano playing.

A 10-week program for students ages 7–18 who want to build stronger musical confidence and develop deeper by-ear gospel piano skills.

The Growth path is ideal for students who want more time to develop and more support as they grow.

This 10-week program includes the same strong foundation as the entry path, with added time for reinforcement, deeper learning, and stronger by-ear development. Students not only learn what to play — they begin to understand what they are hearing and how gospel music moves. This path helps students sound more developed, feel more comfortable, and grow faster with more guided support.

Students will learn:

Keyboard fundamentals
Rhythm and groove
Chord building
Gospel progressions
Chord extensions
Left-hand development
Right-hand voicings
Stronger by-ear listening skills
Greater control and confidence at the keyboard

Do students need a piano at home?

A keyboard with at least 61 keys is recommended. Matthew can advise on affordable options before the first lesson.

What ages do you teach?

All programs are designed for students ages 8–18, from complete beginners to those with some experience looking to add gospel to their playing.

Are classes online or in-person?

Both. The Play Gospel By Ear Program runs live on Zoom. Single lessons and Private Mentorship are available online or in-person depending on location.
