Taught by a producer, composer, and lifelong church musician
Online via Zoom + in-person sessions available
Beginner-friendly for ages 8–18
This program helps students move from confusion at the keyboard to real musical confidence. It is for students who want to truly understand the keyboard, hear music differently, and learn how to play gospel confidently.
Inside the Play Gospel By Ear Program, students are guided step by step through the exact building blocks they need to grow:
learn the keyboard and number system
understand rhythm and groove
play chords and gospel progressions
hear chord movement by ear
develop left- and right-hand technique
build confidence to play in front of others
This program is for students who want to:
Learn piano from the ground up
Grow in gospel music specifically
Stop feeling confused or overwhelmed at the keyboard
Learn how to play by ear, not just memorize songs
Build confidence in their musical ability
Get comfortable playing in front of an audience
Perfect for:
Beginners ages 6–18
Students who already know some piano and want to transition into gospel
Parents looking for a structured, skill-based music program with clear progress
What makes Aaron’s Music Group different is the teaching approach.
Instead of relying only on sheet music or memorization, students learn how to listen, recognize movement, understand chords, and build real musical confidence from the inside out.
That means students are not just copying what they see. They are learning how gospel music works.
This by-ear approach helps students grow into musicians who can actually sit down and play — not just repeat.
Step
Students begin with the basics: keyboard layout, finger positioning, scales, rhythm, and the number system.
Step
Students are introduced to chords, chord progressions, gospel rhythms, and foundational songs.
Step
Students start learning how to hear movement in music, find keys, and recreate songs without needing sheet music.
Step
As students progress, they learn voicings, left-hand development, runs, fills, and the musical tools that make gospel piano sound rich and expressive.
Step
The goal is not just practice at home. The goal is to help students become comfortable playing gospel music with confidence in front of others.
The program follows a progressive 12-module curriculum that begins with piano fundamentals and leads into advanced gospel techniques including voicings, runs, fills, and substitutions .
