Matthew’s career spans multiple dimensions of the music industry. As a producer and composer, he has worked with artists from development through professional release — navigating the relationship between creative vision and the realities of the music business. He understands what it takes to turn raw talent into something lasting.
As a pianist, his foundation was built through years of church musicianship — the discipline of playing with purpose, preparing with consistency, and listening with intention. Those aren’t just habits Matthew developed. They’re the standards he now holds his students to.
At Aarons Music Group, students learn how music works — not just what to play. Every lesson is built on fundamentals: technique, timing, listening skills, and musical understanding. Matthew teaches gospel piano the way it is actually played in the church — by ear, by feel, and with an understanding of harmony that sheet music alone can’t give you.
His teaching philosophy reflects something he believes deeply: that sharing a God-given gift is an act of stewardship. That means approaching every lesson with patience, integrity, and a genuine investment in each student’s progress.
Matthew’s experience extends well beyond the classroom. He has served as a liaison between artists and music executives, developed marketing strategies that build genuine fanbases, and worked alongside radio promoters to place music on stations across the United States and internationally.
This industry depth gives Matthew a perspective that most piano teachers don’t have — he understands where music can take a student, and he teaches with that bigger picture in mind.
Aarons Music Group exists because Matthew believes the next generation of gospel musicians deserves a real foundation. Not YouTube tutorials without direction. Not sheet music that disconnects students from the sound of the music. Real instruction, rooted in the church tradition, delivered with the standards of a working professional musician.
Every student who walks through Aarons Music Group leaves with more than a skill. They leave with confidence, musical understanding, and a relationship with gospel music that will stay with them for life.
